Map of Professionals
With our map, we hope to make the process of finding a psychologist or psychiatrist more accessible to everyone! The platform features numerous interactive filters, such as filters for:
- free or discounted services
- experience and openness toward the LGBTQ community
- experience with different conditions and vulnerable groups
- online and telephone services
Let’s talk about mental health in schools!
In the fall of 2021, we launched the project, in which volunteers from Mental Health for Romania lead workshops on mental health in high schools across the country.
The workshops, designed by researchers in the fields of psychology and psychiatry, teach students how to identify the most common mental health problems and disorders, self-help and emotion management strategies, methods and resources for seeking specialized help, and how they can support their loved ones.

The Creation Contest
Art is often valued for its ability to help us express and channel emotions that we would otherwise find difficult to put into words. We believe that any form of art that addresses mental health can contribute to a better understanding of the experiences of people affected by mental disorders and, at the same time, raise awareness of this issue.
For this reason, in 2020 we launched the “Mental Health for Romania” Creative Contest, which has had three editions so far, with over 500 entries.
Blog & Podcast
We strive to offer a wide variety of articles and podcasts—informative content, interviews, personal experiences, and recommendations for movies and books on the topic of mental health.

Research
We want to better understand the struggles people in Romania face in terms of mental health, their attitudes towards mental health, as well as how prepared the Romanian mental healthcare system is.
We are getting at these questions in 2 ways: by searching the literature and analysing existing data, as well as carrying out our own studies. In 2021, we carried out our first study focused on the mental health of students, with 1300 participants from throughout the country.
LGBTQ Projects
Through our projects, we want to help LGBTQ+ people find the right specialist, share mental health information and personal stories specifically for queer people, and create a safe space and community where queer people can express themselves freely.
Collaborations
Over the years, we have joined forces with various organizations to educate young people and help improve their access to specialized services. See our annual reports for more details about our collaborations to date.
