I. What does this section represent?
This part of the https://mentalhealthforromania.org website is intended to inform you about how we, Mental Health for Romania, handle your personal data and about the rights you have under the EU Regulation 2016/679 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data (in short, GDPR) and applicable national regulations.
Thus, our team is responsible for protecting and processing your personal data collected while visiting our website. Mental Health for Romania is a non-governmental organisation (NGO), registered in the National Registry of Associations and Foundations with the identification no. 184088.
II. What kind of data do we collect and for what purpose?
All data is collected through forms.
We use the following types of forms that collect personal data:
1. Volunteer application form
Your details will only be used by members of our team to get in touch with you, to organize an interview to get to know us better and, ultimately, to draw up a volunteer contract*.
2. Form for collaborating teachers
Your data will be used by our team members or shared with possible collaborators of the “Let’s Talk about Mental Health in Schools!” project, for the proper organization of educational events for students. Should this eventuality arise, you will be contacted by MHR to give your consent. By teachers, we mean both teachers and school counselors.
3. Forms for mental health professionals
3.1. Registration form for the Map of Romanian Mental Health Professionals
In case you register to be included on the map through this form, your information will be shared on our website.
3.2. Update your profile on the Map of Romanian Mental Health Professionals form
If you choose to update your data through this form, it will be shared on our website.
4. General contact form in “Get involved” section
Your personal data will not be shared with third parties, except for cases when you will request us to do so (e.g. if you want us to put you in contact with one of our collaborating professionals). Besides such circumstances, only our team members will have access to the data you chose to share with us. They will only be used in your interest; for example, to reply to your requests and messages. Exceptions are made in cases where we are required by law to do otherwise.
5. Other forms
We also collect data through forms used for educational and research purposes (e.g. quizzes distributed at events, feedback questionnaires related to various mental health projects or research). These help us to improve our activities and contribute to a better understanding of the state of mental health in Romania.
Your information will NOT be used for marketing purposes!
All the aforementioned information is stored in our database and/or email inbox. You can always request their deletion by sending an e-mail to contact@mentalhealthforromania.org.
III. Do you have any rights over your data once shared?
Yes, of course. We are obliged to respect all the rights protected under the EU General Data Protection Regulation and the related domestic legislation. Thus, if you wish to modify, correct or delete your information from our database, you can ask us to do so in writing at contact@mentalhealthforromania.org.
IV. How long do we keep the collected data?
This depends on the time period required and your consent, especially in the case of collaborators. However, after the projects are completed or if we decide by mutual agreement that we will no longer collaborate in the future, your data will be deleted as soon as possible.
V. Questions?
If you have any further questions about how we handle and process personal data, we are available on Facebook, Instagram and/or at the email address mentioned above.
