Starting with 2014, the national health system covers a number of psychological services, including: diagnosis, psychological counselling, individual psychotherapy, group psychotherapy etc. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"gb-text text-heading\">How it works:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"process-flow\">\n<h4 class=\"gb-text\">GENERAL PRACTITIONER<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<span class=\"gb-shape gb-shape-2461ef1e\"><svg aria-hidden=\"true\" height=\"1em\" width=\"1em\" viewbox=\"0 0 256 512\"><path fill=\"currentColor\" d=\"M224.3 273l-136 136c-9.4 9.4-24.6 9.4-33.9 0l-22.6-22.6c-9.4-9.4-9.4-24.6 0-33.9l96.4-96.4-96.4-96.4c-9.4-9.4-9.4-24.6 0-33.9L54.3 103c9.4-9.4 24.6-9.4 33.9 0l136 136c9.5 9.4 9.5 24.6.1 34z\"><\/path><\/svg><\/span>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"gb-text\">PSYCHIATRIST<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<span class=\"gb-shape gb-shape-f81c602f\"><svg aria-hidden=\"true\" height=\"1em\" width=\"1em\" viewbox=\"0 0 256 512\"><path fill=\"currentColor\" d=\"M224.3 273l-136 136c-9.4 9.4-24.6 9.4-33.9 0l-22.6-22.6c-9.4-9.4-9.4-24.6 0-33.9l96.4-96.4-96.4-96.4c-9.4-9.4-9.4-24.6 0-33.9L54.3 103c9.4-9.4 24.6-9.4 33.9 0l136 136c9.5 9.4 9.5 24.6.1 34z\"><\/path><\/svg><\/span>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"gb-text\">PSYCHOLOGIST<\/h4>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>you must be insured;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>go to your <strong>GP<\/strong> for a psychiatric referral;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>make an appointment for a psychiatric evaluation with a <strong>PSYCHIATRIST<\/strong> who has a contract with CNAS;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>if the psychiatrist considers that you would benefit from psychological support, they issue a medical referral letter to a <strong>PSYCHOLOGIST<\/strong>;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>make an appointment at that psychologist\u2019s practice, subject to the availability of CNAS-funded places;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>CNAS requires that the psychiatrist and the psychologist under the same contract have an interdependent relationship: the psychiatrist may refer patients free of charge only to the psychologist they work with, and the psychologist may provide free services only to patients referred by that psychiatrist.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"gb-text text-heading\">Documents needed to access free psychological services:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>the referral letter from the general practitioner (or from another specialist with a contract with CNAS) to the psychiatry specialty, issued no more than 30 days before the date of the psychiatric consultation;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>your health card showing that you are insured under the Social Health Insurance System;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>identity card.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"gb-text text-heading\">Good to know<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>only certain psychology practices have a contract with CNAS;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>on the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/mentalhealthforromania.org\/en\/service\/map-of-professionals\/\">Map of Professionals<\/a> <\/strong>we created, you can use the &#8220;Free\/Discounted Services&#8221; filter and then &#8220;Services covered by the National Health Insurance House&#8221; to find psychiatrists and psychologists with a CNAS contract; you can use the other free\/discounted filters to find professionals without a CNAS contract who offer pro bono or discounted services.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":0,"template":"","class_list":["post-6166","service","type-service","status-publish","hentry"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v28.5 -
